Alright people, bear with me because things are about to get pretty nerdy right meow (but I promise it's so worth it!)

For those of you who use iPhones, Windows phones, or Blackberries, sorry this post isn't for you, so go enjoy your day (or keep reading and start picking out your next Android 7.0 phone). However, for my fellow Android users, there's a pretty awesome Easter Egg hidden in the newest version of Android 7.0 (Nougat) that I wanted to share with you!

There is a feature called Android Neko that allows you to collect cats (think a very simplified version of Neko Atsume for Android or iPhone)! If you haven't played Neko Atsume or you're dying to join in on the Android Neko fun, definitely check it out! For such a simple game, it's oddly addicting.

Basically the premise is, you put out a treat and a few minutes (or hours) later, you'll receive a notification saying, "A cat is here." Then you click on the notification to see which cat it is (they are named Cat #XXX and they come in all different colors)! And you slowly start to build up a cat collection.

It is a passive "game" in that you don't actually interact with this feature other than deciding which treat to leave (see treat options above). And when you get a cat, you can't really do anything with it, besides change the generic numeric cat name to an awesome one (like I do) and share it with your friends! But it's incredibly addicting and I have to admit I definitely get a very big sense of joy every time I collect a new cat. Yup. I'm a nerd! But seriously, how cute is Tux!?
